They say you can tell a lot about people by the friends they keep. I think you can tell a lot about a couple based on how excited their friends are for them when they’re getting married. Alyssa and Mike have a lot of good friends (as you can see by their substantial bridal party) and on their wedding day the only people happier than the bride and groom (and their parents) were the members of the group decked out in tuxedos and chiffon.
Because, really, who rejoices more in your happiness than the people that were there for you when you were searching for it? Who understands best exactly the kind of person who would be perfect for you than the people who are closest to you? And who is going to party the hardest when they can see that you have landed someone who is going to love you as much as they know you deserve?
The energy at Alyssa and Mike’s wedding was contiguous. It would have been a challenge not to smile all day long. These are two people who just plain make each other’s lives better in a way that is completely obvious to everyone around them. It was clear from the earliest moments of the day to the very last moments of the sparkler send-off: getting to be a part of the day Alyssa and Mike commit to each other forever was something really special. And we felt completely honored that we were there to capture it all.
