Six years ago, with not much more than a camera and ambition, Rob started this business on his own, pursuing a career doing what he loved: taking pictures. For years he had been taking photos of anything and everything - people, places, things and loving every minute of it. When a co-worker asked him to photograph her wedding he discovered that wedding photography gave him the opportunity to capture exactly the kinds of moments he loved. It was the perfect fit for him. That one wedding turned into requests for several more. Rob put in countless hours while working a day job as an IT professional at a university. He may have been sleep deprived, but he was personally fulfilled. Days after getting a promotion and raise, he realized that it was now or never. He had to follow his passion and go into photography full-time before it got harder to walk away from his other job. So he did. And he hasn't looked back since.

Kathleen had worked in a variety of positions within the media field, focusing mostly on journalism. While she has always had a love for words, it was the visual aspect of journalism that truly spoke to her. She had been searching for the true outlet for her creativity and found it the day Rob handed her a camera. They were both pleasantly surprised at her natural talent. After teaching her everything he knew, Rob asked Kathleen to join him at a wedding. It was at that wedding that Kathleen finally discovered that through photography she could tell a story in a way that she connected with: through the images of the day, capturing the true essence of the moments, the chemistry between a couple. She was still using her love of words, writing blog posts for each session and wedding, yet another way to tap into her love of storytelling. Knowing that she had finally found the perfect career, Kathleen decided to join Rob full-time. It was the easiest decision she had ever made. (Well, that and saying yes when he proposed.)
