Muscoot Farm: Katonah, NY: Priscilla & Kevin's Engagement Session

When Priscilla spotted Kevin on the campus of her North Carolina college, she took a small mental note of the handsome guy with the sweet smile - hoping that maybe their paths would cross once again. But with only four months left of her senior year, she didn’t think she would get the chance to know him before graduation. Just a short time later, however, Priscilla spotted that very same handsome stranger headed her way while she was in a local bar with her friend. She swung around to tell her friend and, in her rush, ended up spilling most of her drink all over the floor.  Flustered, she looked down at the floor and when she put her head back up she yelled, “We need some napkins!” right into the face the very guy that had prompted the whole ordeal.  

Kevin still laughs when he thinks about that moment. “I thought she was a little crazy,” he says now. Once the drink was cleaned up, Priscilla and Kevin got to talking.  They discovered they had a lot in common, not the least of which was the fact that they had grown up jus a few towns over from one another back in New York. They were surprised at how easy it was to talk to one another and by the time they went their separate ways that evening, they each knew they wanted to see the other again.

Priscilla graduated and returned to New York and not long after Kevin came back north as well, to attend Culinary school. It wasn't long after that that they officially became a couple and soon they both knew that this relationship was the relationship. They had never felt more comfortable, more like themselves than when they were together. They encouraged each other and stayed strong through the demanding hours and obligations of Kevin’s time in culinary school.

Just two days after he graduated, Kevin took Priscilla on a hike of one of the prettiest places he could think of - a scenic mountain near the towns where they had both grown up.  There, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Looking at that same smile that caught her eye so many years before, Priscilla said yes without a moment’s hesitation.
